Koichi Nakayama's Biography



Koichi Nakayama, Professor and Chairman, Saga University

Professor Koichi Nakayama, M.D., Ph.D. is currently the Professor and Chairman, for the Biomedical Engineering Course, Advanced Technology Fusion at the Graduate School of Science and Engineering, Saga University, Saga City, Japan.
He is also a Visiting Professor, at the Medical Institute of Bioregulation, Kyushu University, Fukuoka, Japan.
Commercially oriented he is the Co-Founder of Cyfuse Biomedical KK, a technology start-up providing a leading edge platform of three-dimensional organ regeneration based around their revolutionary bio 3D printer, Regenova.
Previously he was Project Leader for the Bio-Rapid prototyping project at Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) Fukuoka.
He was also the Assistant Professor for the Department of Orthopedic surgery, Kyushu University Hospital after moving on from the Orthopedic surgery resident program at, Fukuoka Red Cross Hospital, National Hospital Organization Kyushu Medical Center, Department of Orthopedic surgery, Kyushu University Hospital
Most recently he is a co-author of the Elsevier publication; Biofabrication, 1st Edition Micro- and Nano-fabrication, Printing, Patterning and Assemblies.
