Anders Malmendal is associate professor at the Department of Biomedical Science at University of Copenhagen, where he is mainly working with NMR metabolomics. His research is focused on Drosophila metabolomics in the study of human disease and of genetic and environmental factors, and on metabolomic studies of energy metabolism in health and disease. Anders has a background in macromolecular structure and dynamics by NMR. He studied at Lund University and was awarded a Ph.D. in Biophysical Chemistry under the supervision of Prof Sture Forsén in 1999. He has held posts at Scripps Research Institute (1999), Vanderbilt University (2000-2001) and University of Aarhus (2001-2010).
