Wilfred Kues, Principal Investigator, Friedrich Loeffler Institut

Principal Investigator at the Friedrich-Loeffler-Institute, Mariensee, Germany. He studied biology at the University of Göttingen and received a doctoral degree in developmental neurobiology from the University of Heidelberg. During his postdoctoral period at the University of Zurich, Switzerland, he generated knockout mice models for Alzheimer’s disease. Subsequently, he joined the Friedrich-Loeffler-Institute. Current research activities include the development of novel techniques for genome engineering in farm animals, enzyme-catalyzed foreign DNA integration, and targeted gene modification in zygotes.
