Andrew Tingey is Director of Licensing at Royal DSM, leading a team of senior licensing professionals (DSM Licensing) - providing critical, corporate-level input and hands-on support to significant IP-based transactions across DSM worldwide. Andrew has many years’ experience as a facilitator and lead negotiator on IP-based deals, collaborations and partnerships.
A UK citizen, Andrew was appointed as Director of Licensing in 2013 after joining DSM in January 2012 as Senior Licensing Manager. He had previously held successive positions as Group Portfolio Licensing Manager at Fusion IP plc and senior managerial and R&D roles at Reading Scientific Services Ltd (RSSL), an independent scientific analysis, consultancy, product development and training company.
Andrew holds a Ph.D. in biochemistry from the University of Leicester, a B.Sc. in biochemistry from the University of York and an MBA from The Open University in the UK. Andrew also gained Certified Licensing Professional (CLP) certification in 2012.
