Faye Drawnel's Biography

Faye Drawnel, Scientist, Pharma Research and Early Development, Roche

Faye Drawnel Ph.D. is a Scientist at the Basel Innovation Center of Roche Pharma Research and Early Development (pRED). She received her undergraduate degree in Natural Sciences and Ph.D in molecular biology from the University of Cambridge. Dr Drawnel’s research studying regulation of cell signaling pathways in pathologically stressed cardiac muscle cells led her to join Roche where she utilized stem cell technologies to probe mechanisms of cardiac regeneration and develop in vitro models of diabetic heart disease. Currently, Dr Drawnel is working in Ophthalmology, where she is establishing stem-cell based models of the aging retina.
