Dr. Alexandros P. Siskos joined Computational and Systems Medicine at Imperial College London in 2011 as a Research Associate, in the group of Dr Keun. He has since been working on metabolomics approaches for the discovery of biomarkers and mechanisms of disease, chemical exposure, and lifestyle in human population studies, with emphasis in cancer, environmental toxicology and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. He has also been working on the application of metabolomics in clinical translation research. Dr Siskos received a B.Sc. in Chemistry from the University of Athens. His previous research experience includes biosynthesis and metabolism of bacterial secondary metabolites, drug metabolism and development, and pharmacokinetics.
