Ann Boriack-Sjodin's Biography



Ann Boriack-Sjodin, Senior Director, Protein & Structural Sciences, Epizyme

Ann Boriack-Sjodin joined Epizyme in 2012 and is currently a Senior Director in Lead Discovery. She has spent her industrial career using structural biology, biochemical and biophysical methods to progress drug discovery programs in a variety of therapeutic areas. Her work at Epizyme has contributed to the biochemical and structural characterization as well as the development of tool compounds for several protein methyltransferases. Prior to joining Epizyme, Ann worked at AstraZeneca where she contributed to efforts in infectious disease and oncology therapeutic areas and Biogen Idec where she contributed to both small molecule and biologic drug discovery programs. She obtained her PhD from the University of Pennsylvania in 1996 working with Dr. David Christianson and received postdoctoral training in the lab of Dr. John Kuriyan at The Rockefeller University.
