Mariappanadar Vairamani's Biography

Mariappanadar Vairamani, Dean, SRM University

Dr M Vairamani, Dean, School of Bio-Engineering, SRM University, Chennai completed his PhD from IIT Madras. He was a Research Associate with Prof. Mark M. Green at Brooklyn Polytechnic, New York (1979-1981) and with Prof. Carl Djerassi at Stanford University, USA (1981-1982). He was a British Council Scholar in the Mass Spectrometric Research Unit (1991-1992)
Dr Vairamani is a Visiting Scientist at the Mass Spectrometric Research Resources with Prof. Michael L. Gross in Washington University, USA.
Previously he was Scientist at IICT, Hyderabad (1982-2007), Director at IPFT (Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers), Gurgaon (2007-2009), Chief Scientist at IICT, Hyderabad (2009-2011).
He has around 180 research papers to his credit and has guided 16 PhD students.
He is the recipient of many awards and honors and is the Member in Editorial Board of Rapid Communication in Mass Spectrometry since 2007. He is also a Member in the Editorial Advisory Board of European Journal of Mass Spectrometry since 1995.
