Annie Moisan's Biography



Annie Moisan, Lab Head, Roche Pharmaceuticals

Annie Moisan is a laboratory head at Roche Innovation Center Basel where she develops and applies human-relevant tissue models for drug safety prediction and mechanistic investigation. Her lab has established collaboration with academic institutions in Europe and America including Harvard/Wyss Institute. Prior to joining Roche, Annie worked as a postdoctoral fellow in genetics and stem cell biology at Harvard Medical School in Boston. She earned her Ph.D. in molecular and cell biology from University of Sherbrooke, Canada.

Three-dimensional models of drug target tissues that recapitulate human responses are needed for drug screening. Here we introduce a renal proximal tubule model enabled by microfluidics and bioprinting that allows for drug disposition and safety studies.
