Jit Kong Cheong 's Biography



Jit Kong Cheong , Instructor , Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School

Dr. Cheong Jit Kong is an instructor of the Cancer and Stem Cell Biology Program at Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School (Singapore). He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Microbiology from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and obtained his PhD degree from a joint Harvard Medical School-NUS graduate program under the mentorship of Professors Joseph Bonventre and Stephen I-Hong Hsu. He then pursued his postdoctoral training in the laboratory of Professor David Virshup at Duke-NUS.

Dr. Cheong was a Singapore Millennium Foundation Postdoctoral Fellow (2008-2010) and a recipient of the National Medical Research Council (NMRC) CBRG New Investigator Grant (2012-present). His research interests include signal transductions in cancer, autophagy and metabolism.
