Christine McBeth's Biography

Christine McBeth, Senior Research Scientist, Fraunhofer Center for Manufacturing Innovation

Christine McBeth, Ph.D., is a senior research scientist at the Fraunhofer Center for Manufacturing Innovation located at Boston University. There she heads up the tissue engineering group working with international partners to move biomedical engineering solutions to the clinic. Her research at Fraunhofer has focused on developing special coatings for titanium implants that present both the biological and mechanical cues required for robust deposition of new bone mineral. Christine also works with the Fraunhofer teams that are driving rapid roll-to-roll industrial scale production of microfluidic devices—essential research for getting any lab-on-a-chip assay out of the lab.
