Maria Tenje's Biography

Maria Tenje, Senior Lecturer, Uppsala University

Dr. Tenje leads the research group EMBLA located at Uppsala University and Lund University. Main research activities are focused on development of novel in vitro models of biological barriers with a special interest in microfabrication of 3D cell culture scaffolds and integration of these into microfluidic systems. Dr. Tenje received her PhD degree from the Technical University of Denmark in 2007 and has a solid background in MEMS and BioMEMS.
