Ailish Higgins's Biography



Ailish Higgins, Analyst, National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE)

Ailish works on a range of fee-for-service scientific advice projects for NICE, including parallel advice with regulatory agencies (EMA/MHRA). Ailish holds an MSc in Health Economics from the University of York (UK). Prior to joining NICE, Ailish was a Research Fellow at the Health Economics Research Group at Brunel University (UK), where she focused on the early stage evaluation of medical devices and the valuation of non-health outcomes. She has also worked in the Medical Technologies Evaluation Programme at NICE, developing guidance on medical devices for use in the NHS.
