Echo liquid handlers are contact-free – no tips or nozzles are used as nanoliter-sized droplets of the fluid move directly from source plate to destination plate. Eliminating tips reduces costs, minimizes waste and eliminates carry-over cross contamination. Dispensing sub-microliter volumes further enables assay miniaturization to provide additional cost savings and to conserve precious samples and reagents.
