Sumit Gandhi's Biography

Sumit Gandhi, Sr. Scientist, Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (CSIR-IIIM)

Dr. Sumit Gandhi pursued his doctorate in Molecular Biology and Genetics from CCMB, Hyderabad, on understanding the interrelationships between various gene silencing phenomena using the Drosophila model. He is presently working as senior scientist, studying various aspects of secondary metabolism in medicinal and aromatic plants at CSIR-IIIM, Jammu India. He has authored two books and has published several papers in reputed international peer reviewed journals such as Science, FEBS Journal, Cell Death and Differentiation, Frontiers in Plant Sciences, etc. He has supervised several MSc. and M.Tech dissertation students and three students have completed their PhDs with him as supervisor.
