Sören-Oliver Deininger, MALDI Imaging Product Specialist, Bruker

After finishing his Ph.D. thesis on the “combination of immune-affinity-purification with proteinchemical and mass spectrometric methods for the identification of peptide- and protein antigens”, Sören Deininger has joined the Bruker demo lab as a specialist for MALDI mass spectrometry. When Bruker introduced its MALDI imaging solution, he focused on the development of this application, introducing innovative techniques such as the hierarchical clustering for the segmentation of MALDI imaging data, new concepts for normalization of MALDI imaging datasets and the combination of mass spectrometric and microscopic data. As “market manager for MALDI imaging”, he continues to support and develop the MALDI imaging market.
