Jonathan Cottet's Biography



Jonathan Cottet, Researcher, EPFL

Jonathan Cottet received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Mechanics and Electronics from ENS Rennes and University of Rennes 1 in France in 2011 and 2013 and a M.Sc. in Microengineering on Micro and Nano systems from EPFL in 2015. He received a Ph.D. in Electrical engineering specialized in bioengineering from the University of Lyon for his work carried between the Bioengineering department of the Ampère Lab in Lyon and the Laboratory of Microsystems 4 (LMIS4) at EPFL. His research interests include design, fabrication and experimental characterization of lab-on-a-chip devices based on electric fields for biological applications. His work focuses on Dielectrophoresis and Electrical Impedance Flow Cytometry. He is currently a Postdoctoral researcher at EPFL LMIS4 with Philippe Renaud.

Dielectrophoresis-Assisted Creation of Cell Aggregates for Lab-On-A Chip Applications

A microfluidic platform allowing dielectrophoresis-assisted formation of cell aggregates of controlled size and composition under flow conditions is presented. The created aggregate proved to be stable after 5 minutes of cell-cell contact.
