Ana Moya's Biography



Ana Moya, Researcher, Institute of Microelectronics of Barcelona, Biomedical Research Networking Center in Bioengineering, Biomaterials and Nanomedicine (CIBER-BBN)

Dr. Ana Moya obtained an Engineering of Telecommunications degree in 2008, and her PhD degree in Electrical and Telecommunication Engineering in 2017, from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, Spain. She is currently working in the Biomedical Application's Group in the Institute of Microelectronics of Barcelona (IMB-CNM, CSIC). Her main research interest is focused on the development of technologies to craft multisensing devices, capable of providing novel solutions to different applications in the biomonitoring field. She is skilled in the inkjet printing technology, with the optimization of different biocompatible materials onto a wide range of substrates.

We present a novel approach to integrate electrochemical dissolved oxygen sensors on the porous and ultraflexible cell culture membrane of a Liver-On-a-Chip system, using the non-contact inkjet printing technology, for real-time monitoring of oxygen consumption of primary hepatocytes cell culture.
