Bart studied chemistry in Graz (Austria) and received his Ph.D in 2015 under the supervision of Professor C. Oliver Kappe in the field of multiphasic continuous flow chemistry. He then moved to the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces (Potsdam, Germany) for postdoctoral work under Prof. Peter H. Seeberger, and was promoted to Group Leader & Assistant Professor in 2018. His research interests include photocatalysis, heterogeneous catalysis, reaction and catalyst development, mechanistic investigations and flow chemistry.
