Lynn Pulliam's Biography

Lynn Pulliam, Professor of Laboratory Medicine and Medicine, University of California San Francisco

Dr. Lynn Pulliam is a Professor of Laboratory Medicine and Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). She received a B.A. from Northwestern University, an MS in Microbiology from California State University, Long Beach and a PhD in Experimental Pathology from UCSF. Dr. Pulliam’s research has focused on HIV neuroimmunology, biomarkers for HIV neurocognitive impairment and the effects of HIV and aging and more recently neurological effects of post-COVID. Dr. Pulliam was one of the original members of the International Society for Neurovirology (ISNV) as well as President of the Society. She has won several scientific awards on the effects of HIV in the brain including the Prize in Neurovirology from Drexel University and the Women in Neurovirology and Pioneer Awards from ISNV. She has continued to receive NIH funding for 4 decades.
