Angela Barrett's Biography

Angela Barrett, Research Fellow, National University of Singapore

Angela is a Senior Research Fellow at the National University of Singapore, and has worked in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology for four years. She is also Head of NIPT for iGene Diagnostics. Research interests include NIPT for aneuploidy and monogenic disorders using cell-free DNA, NIPD using single nucleated fetal red blood cells, and early detection of epithelial ovarian cancer using cell-free nucleic acids and single cells. Prior to moving to Singapore Angela was a Research Scientist at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, London, carrying out translational research using cell-free DNA in the North East Thames Regional Molecular Genetics Department.
