Said Goueli, Clinical Professor & Research Fellow, Promega Corporation

Dr. Said A. Goueli is a Research Fellow at Promega Corp., Madison, WI and holds a joint appointment as clinical Professor in the department of Pathology and Lab Medicine, University of Wisconsin.
Dr. Goueli has pioneered novel technologies that advanced Research in cell signaling. He was one of the first to develop anti phosphospecific antibodies, and holds several patents on kinase assays (radioactive, fluorescent, and luminogenic) and related technologies.
Dr Goueli has developed a Novel Strategy to monitor the modulation of G?s and G?i-Protein Coupled Receptors (GPCR) and Phosphodiesterases. Most recently, he has developed novel strategies to monitor the activities of Methyltransferases.
Dr. Goueli has published over 70 peer reviewed journals and over 15 chapters as well as organizing many symposia on cell signaling.
Previously, Dr. Goueli was at University of Minnesota where he made seminal contributions to the molecular action of androgens on modulating gene expression in the prostate.
Dr. Goueli holds a BS and MS degrees in Biochemistry from University of Alexandria, Egypt, Ph.D. from University of Maine, and postdoctoral training at the Medical University of Toledo on the role of PKA in cellular regulation.
