Guo Jiang's Biography

Guo Jiang, Scientist, Manufacturing Process Division, Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTech)

Dr. Jiang Guo, is currently a Scientist in Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTech), A*Star. He received his Ph.D. in Department of Precision Engineering, The University of Tokyo, Japan, in 2013. After that, he joined RIKEN Center for Advanced Photonics (RAP), RIKEN as a researcher.
He has been actively involved in precision machining research for over a decade. His research interest includes ultraprecision machining, actuator, mechatronics and neutron optics. He has published more than 20 journal papers and hold 6 patents. He got Academic Research Grant from Mazak Foundation in 2014 and JSPS Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (B) in 2015. He also received several research awards such as Heidenhain Scholarship from Euspen’s 11th International Conference, Young Author’s Award for Excellent Presentation from The 20th MAGDA Conference in Pacific Asia, Best paper award from MACHINE TOOL ENGINEERING FOUNDATION in 2014 and Best Paper Award from ASPEN2015 Conference.
He is a member of European Society for Precision Engineering and Nanotechnology (EUSPEN), the American Society for Precision Engineering (ASPE) and Asian Society for Precision Engineering and Nanotechnology (ASPEN).
