Sarah Gilpin's Biography

Sarah Gilpin, Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), Harvard Medical School, Instructor, Department of Surgery

I received my PhD from the University of Toronto in 2011, studying lung repair and the endogenous stem cell response to lung transplantation and graft rejection. Since joining the Laboratory for Organ Engineering at the Massachusetts General Hospital, my work has focused on developing strategies for whole lung decellularization and tissue regeneration, with a direct aim toward human therapeutic application.
