Tian Fook Kong received his bachelor degree from the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He then received dual master of science degree in Computational Engineering from both the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and National University of Singapore. He then joined the Nanyang Technological University and the BioSystems and Micromechanics IRG at the Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology (SMART) Centre for his Ph.D to develop a lab-on-chip biosensor for malaria diagnosis. He is currently working as a research fellow at NTU on cancer cell trapping and bacteria detection through dielectrophoresis.
