Dr Uday Annapure is Professor and Head at Food Engineering and Technology Department, Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), Mumbai. He has 16 years of teaching and research experience. He is the recipient of ICT- AFST(I) Best Teacher Award in 2014 and 2016. He has been elected second time as a Vice-President of Association of Food Scientists and Technologists (India), Mysore. He has been awarded BOYSCAST Fellowship from Department of Science and Technology, Government of India to visit Washington State University, Pullman, WA and University of California, Davis, CA during 2010-2011.He is a receipient of TEQIP Fellowship to visit Rutgers University, The State University of New Jersey, NJ, USA in 2007.His research interests include Cold Plasma Processing, Extrusion Processing, Traditional foods and Food Biotechnology. He is a Life Member of, association of Food Scientists and Technologists (India), Mysore, association of Carbohydrate Chemists and Technologists of India. (ACCTI),biotech Research Society of India and International Society of Food Engineering (ISFE), USA. Till date he has successfully guided 11 Ph.D. and 55 M.Tech. students.He has published 75 research papers in the peer reviewed journals of national and international repute.
