Ruslan Afasizhev's Biography

Ruslan Afasizhev, Professor, Boston University

Prof. Afasizhev received bachelor and master degrees from the Department of Molecular Biology at Moscow State University, and completed PhD studies at the Institute of Molecular Biology, Russian Academy of Sciences. Following post-doctoral fellowships at the French National Center for Research in Strasbourg and University of California, Los Angeles, Dr. Afasizhev joined the faculty at the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine. In 2013, Dr. Afasizhev moved his research program to Boston University Medical Campus where he remains as Professor of Molecular and Cell Biology.
