Peter Rhein's Biography

Peter Rhein, Instrument Application Scientist, Merck KGaA

Peter's career has led from a PhD in Biotechnology at the Technical University Berlin through research with a focus on therapy resistance in acute leukemia at the Charité Medical School, Berlin. He completed his postdoctoral studies in frame of the National Genome Research Network (NGFN) funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). His laboratory discovered novel therapy-resistance and minimal residual disease-specific markers in acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Peter came to Merck four years ago to serve Europe-wide (Germany, Austria, Benelux and Switzerland) as instrument field application scientist for customer support in imaging flow cytometry.
