Satyawrat Kulkarni, Head-Quality Assurance, Abbott

Dr Satyawrat Kulkarni is a Veterinarian with specialization done in the subject of “Food Hygiene & Public Health”, His research work on meat was done to establish microbiological standards of frozen meat. After university, Dr Satyawrat worked with Nestle for 26 years in various assignments at in different countries and positions including New Zealand ,South Africa etc. He had a short stint as Head of Global QA +R&D for Olam (Singapore based MNC operating in 65 countries including US). Currently working in Abbott Nutrition – India since 2013 as Head of Commercial QA. Dr Kulkarni has been invited for special lectures to premier institutes e.g. National Dairy Research Institute. He was given best speaker award by BIS. He has presented Food Safety topics in Productivity Council of India and BIS organised training courses on HACCP etc..He had participated in proficiency test sample development with BIS/PFA and got Nestle regional lab accredited for ISO17025 in New Zealand and and was invited as auditor by local accreditation board TELARC. He Was member of FAD 44 committee for microbiological standards for India. Dr Kulkarni is a recognised as global expert within Nestle for Allergen Management and Food Safety. He is Working as member of Global Abbott Nutrition on emerging chemical contaminants.
