Kalyanasundaram Subramanian, VP Bioinformatics, Syngene

Dr Kalyanasundaram Subramanian leads the Bioinformatics Business Unit at Syngene International. They provide modelling, data analytics and integrative services to the pharma biotech industry. Prior to this, Dr Subramanian was the Chief Scientist at Strand Life Sciences, where, in addition to modeling ADMET, molecule design using machine learning and systems biology techniques, he was directly involved in setting up the various functions that enabled Strand to make its pivot into the healthcare and diagnostic spaces. Prior to Strand, he headed the Collaborative R&D group for immunology products at Entelos, a systems biology company. Dr Subramanian has also worked at Genetic Therapy Inc (Novartis) where he helped set-up a group to perform research in synthetic and hybrid vectors for gene delivery. Dr Subramanian has done B.Tech and an MS in chemical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, India and SUNY at Buffalo respectively. His Ph.D. is in Biomedical Engineering from the Johns Hopkins University, School of Medicine. He specializes in Mathematical Modeling, Drug Discovery, Consulting, Genomics, Data Analytics, NGS.
