Mei He's Biography

Mei He, Assistant Professor, University of Kansas

Dr. He is the assistant professor at the University of Kansas, and leading a research group for studying immunity non-contact cell-to-cell communications enabled by extracellular vesicles, via leveraging cutting-edge microfluidic technology and 3D bioprinting technology. Dr. He received the institutional Academic Excellence Award 2015, New Faculty Mentoring Award 2017, Innovator Award from the Kansas Ingenuity Central Exhibition, and New Faculty General Research Award in 2018. Her publications in the journal of Lab Chip received the Most Download Articles of 2016, Inside Cover Story, and the Featured Cover Story of 2018 by the Royal Society of Chemistry, and also received 2018 SLAS Technology Readers Choice Award. Dr. He is the founding committee of the MidWest 3D printing network, the Councilor of the American Electrophoresis Society (AES), and the Vice Chair of the ASABE Biosensor program, and serving for various panel reviews.
