Johnathon Anderson's Biography



Johnathon Anderson, Assistant Professor, University of California Davis Health

Dr. Anderson is an assistant professor at the University of California Davis, and a NIH K-award Fellow. His work elucidates group uses omics methodologies to determine the contents of exosomes derived from primed mesenchymal stem cells. Dr. Anderson’s work has also revealed that MSC-derived exosomes possess immunomodulatory properties in animal models of neuroinflammatory diseases. His work includes the exploration of hollow fiber bioreactor systems as a means to scale up production of GMP-grade exosome therapies.

Our work involves characterization of the composition of exosomes (pMEX) derived from primed MSCs. Our data indicate that pMEX possess functional in vitro and in vivo therapeutic properties in models of inflammation associated disease.
