Jeonghyun Kim's Biography

Jeonghyun Kim, Researcher, Kyoto University

I am currently appointed as a postdoctoral fellow in Institute for Frontier Life and Medical Sciences, Kyoto University (PI: Prof. Taiji Adachi). After I graduated with a B.Eng. in mechanical engineering (biomedical) from the University of Sydney in 2010, I received MS and PhD in mechanical engineering from the University of Tokyo (adivisors: Prof. Takashi Ushida & Assoc. Prof. Katsuko Furukawa), in 2014 and 2017, respectively. My research interest includes 3D in vitro culture, cellular biomechanics, tissue engineering, and regenerative medicine. In 2019, I was awarded the Yamaguchi Medal by Asian-Pacific Association for Biomechanics.
