Claude Dufresne, CEO, axiVEND LLC

Dr. Dufresne, CEO of axiVEND, is a scientist and entrepreneur. Trained as an organic chemist, with degrees from McGill and the University of Alberta, he spent most of his career at Merck, gaining experience in the fields of laboratory automation, biochemistry, and pharmacology. For the last 8 years, he has transitioned to a role on the provider side of the Life Sciences community, bringing a unique blend of expertise to help identify solutions to the diagnostics industry. He has developed valuable know-how in the topics of microarrays, biosensors and biochips, and ultra-low volume, high precision liquid handling. From a commercial perspective, the founding principle of axiVEND is based on transparent communications, hence the company name from the Greek ‘axios’ (truthfulness).
