Jutta Eichler, Professor, University of Erlangen-Nuremberg

Upon her doctorate from Humboldt University in Berlin, Dr Eichler joined Torrey Pines Institute for Molecular Studies in San Diego, USA, first as a Postdoctoral Fellow, then as a Research Scientist, and finally as an Assistant Member. Back in Germany, she took up a position as a Group Leader at the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research in Braunschweig, and in 2008 she was appointed Associate Professor of Medicinal Chemistry at the University of Erlangen-Nurnberg, Germany. Dr Eichler’s primary research interest is the exploration of protein-protein interactions using synthetic peptides.
