Malgorzata Ilona Srebniak, Clinical Cytogeneticist, Erasmus Medical Centre

Malgorzata Ilona Srebniak (PhD) is a licensed laboratory specialist in clinical genetics currently working for the Department of Clinical Genetics at Erasmus MC in Rotterdam. Her work focuses on prenatal and tumor cytogenomics in clinical settings. Her main research interests are prenatal genotyping in invasively obtained samples and cytogenomics of tumor cfDNA. Malgorzata studied genetics and molecular cell biology at Aarhus University (Denmark) and biology at Silesian University in Katowice (Poland). In 2000 she graduated as one of the 5% best students of Silesian University in Katowice (Poland). In 2004 she defended her PhD thesis at Silesian Medical University and in 2005 she moved to Erasmus MC (The Netherlands), where she received her license in 2008.
