Postdoctoral Fellow,
Radboud University Nijmegen Medical Centre
Jurjen Tel is a post-doctoral research fellow at the Dept. of Tumor Immunology at the Radboud University Nijmegen Medical Centre. His main research interest include tumor immunology and droplet-based microfluidics. His research focuses on human natural circulating plasmacytoid dendritic cells, to understand the functional properties of these dendritic cells and to establish their value for clinical vaccination of cancer. In parallel, he is involved in clinical trials with plasmacytoid dendritic cell vaccination of melanoma. Furthermore, in close collaboration with the dept. Physical organic chemistry he is deciphering the cellular heterogeneity present in distinct immunological cell types by exploiting a novel droplet-based microfluidic device.
