PN is a professor in proteomics at the Science for Life Laboratory, KTH – Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm. He has since 2002 been heading the Protein Microarray Technology group within the Human Protein Atlas project. He has also been heading the KTH DNA Microarray Center at the Dept. of Gene Technology, KTH between 1999-2008. See http://publicationslist.org/nipe for a complete list of publications. Research activities are mainly focused on the continuous development and utilization of various protein microarray-based technologies for biomarker discovery and verification.

The massive number of antigens produced within the Human Protein Atlas (www.proteinatlas.org) are systematically printed on microarrays and utilized not only for validation of antibodies but also for discovery of new autoimmunity targets with screening of disease oriented plasma and CSF samples.
