Duncan Sharp's Biography

Duncan Sharp, Senior Lecturer, Leeds Metropolitan University

Dr Duncan Sharp, is a senior lecturer and researcher based at Leeds Metropolitan University, focusing on new technologies to allow measurements to be performed outside of conventional laboratories carbon-based electrochemical sensors. This is focused towards healthcare and military applications, from the development of sensors that can be integrated within wound dressings to detect chemical changes that indicate an infection, to the identification of deliberately release bioterrorism agents (a recently completed a project for the Defence and Science Technical Laboratory).
