Ulrich Rant studied physics at TU Graz and received his PhD from TU Munich in 2005. He currently leads a group at the Chemistry Department and Walter Schottky Institute at TU Munich, which focuses on the development of novel biosensors and methods for the analysis of molecular interactions, in particular with respect to electrically switchable interfaces and solid state nanopores. Ulrich Rant is a co-founder and managing director of the biotech start-up company Dynamic Biosensors.
