Cardiotoxicity and hepatotoxicity are common causes of drug safety issues and withdrawal of candidate drugs during development. The availability of more biologically relevant, i.e. human, predictive assays and cell models is key to improving the success rate in drug development and reducing the cost of drug discovery and development.
