Xunli Zhang's Biography



Xunli Zhang, Deputy Director of Graduate School, University of Southampton

Xunli Zhang obtained his PhD degree from Imperial College London in 2000, and is currently a Reader in Bioengineering at the University of Southampton. His research interests include the development of microfluidic and Lab-on-a-Chip technologies and their applications in bioengineering, in particular, related to cell-based bioanalysis, drug delivery systems and therapeutic biomicrofluidics.

In this talk, the development of microfluidic systems for in vitro characterisation of process dynamics in biofluidic related therapeutic procedures such as blood flow and chemo embolisation for tumour treatment will be described. Both experimental and computational results will be presented and discussed.
