As a geneticist and an endocrine doctor, Dr. Pei-Lung Chen has been focusing on identifying variants/genes responsible for various human diseases, including clinical genetic diagnosis for patients, as well as novel causative gene(s) identification for diseases. Dr. Chen received his M.D. degree from National Taiwan University (NTU), and his Ph.D. degree from the Human Genetics Program at Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Chen is currently an Associate Professor at Graduate Institute of Medical Genomics and Proteomics at NTU, and also an attending physician at Lab of Molecular Genetic Diagnostics, Department of Medical Genetics at NTU Hospital. Dr. Chen is a multidisciplinary expert applying NGS, Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA) genotyping, model organisms, immune-sequencing and bioinformatics for precision medicine and biomedical research.
