Hamid Khoja's Biography

Hamid Khoja, Principal Scientist, Covaris, Inc.

Dr. Hamid Khoja brings years of experience in the development of sample preparation assays, protocols, and kits for a variety of NGS-based applications. Recently, Dr. Khoja has helped in the development of several robust kits utilizing Covaris Adaptive Focused Acoustics™(AFA) such as the truXTRAC™ ccfDNA a high-yield extraction of ccfDNA from plasma, truCOLLECT™ a novel decentralized blood collection, stabilization, and DNA extraction tool, truXTRAC FFPE an advanced organic solvent-free DNA and RNA extraction, and truCHIP™ a universal and highly reproducible chromatin shearing solution for all mammalian cells and tissues. Previously, as a research scientist, Dr. Khoja helped develop several kits and high throughput assays for internal research initiatives, including branched DNA assays for oncogene quantification, Mass spectrometer based assays for CFTR and other disease mutation analysis, and kits for ChIP-ChIP assays.
