Emir Hodzic's Biography



Emir Hodzic, Director, University of California Davis

Dr. Emir Hodzic received his D.V.M., M.Sci, and Ph.D. from the University of Sarajevo, School of Veterinary Medicine in Bosnia and Herzegovina. His postdoctoral training was at the Yale University School of Medicine, where he studied animal models of Lyme disease and human granulocytic anaplasmosis. Dr. Hodzic is currently the Director of the Real-time PCR Research and Diagnostic Core Facility as well as a faculty at the Center for Comparative Medicine at the University of California Davis.

The main aim of this study was to assess the feasibility of low-density array (LDA) to study multiple gene expression of Borrelia burgdorferi during infection and host responses to infection.
