Vladimir Tolstikov's Biography



Vladimir Tolstikov, Core Director, UC Davis Genome Center

Vladimir Tolstikov has received his Ph.D. in 1983 in Organic Chemistry from the Institute of Chemical Means for Plant Protection, Moscow, Russian Federation. During his career he was working in leading research institutions in USA, Germany, Hungary and Russian Federation. His current research and professional interests are: metabolomics, mass spectrometry, pathway analysis, and biomarkers. In 2005 he has joined UC Davis Genome Center where he directed Metabolomics Core Facility. He has joined Eli Lilly and Company in 2012.

Prospective cohort study has been performed utilizing Mass Spectrometry Based Metabolomics platform. Potential metabolic biomarkers were suggested. Pathway Analysis reveals impacted metabolic pathways and suggests new companion diagnostic targets.
