Natalie Prigozhina's Biography



Natalie Prigozhina, Staff Scientist, Sanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute

Natalie Prigozhina is a cell biologist/microscopist, currently holding dual appointment as a Staff Scientist at the Sanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute and as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of San Diego.  Dr. Prigozhina has been working with different types of cells for almost 20 years.  Her primary field of expertise includes various aspects of cell migration, cytoskeleton and intracellular trafficking, as well as live cell imaging and image analysis.  She is currently interested in designing complex 3D cell-based assays for High Content Screening applications.  As part of this work, she collaborates with computer vision specialists and software engineers to develop novel automated tools for image analysis.
