Tulsidas Shrivastav, Professor, National Institute of Health & Family Welfare

Dr. Tulsidas G. Shrivastav is presently Professor at Department of Reproductive Biomedicine, National Institute of Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi. He has done M.Sc., PhD (Biochemistry) from Nagpur University. His areas of research interest are Immunodiagnostics, Hormonal Contraception for male, and Molecular and cellular biology. He is the recipient of Dr. Kona Sampath Kumar Memorial Prize, University of Delhi. Also, he received Professor Pera Govindrajulu Gold Medal Oration Award in the recognition of research achievements from Society of Reproductive Biology and Comparative Endocrinology (SRBCE). He was nominated as member of Board of Studies in Endocrinology for a period of three years from 1-11-10- to 31-10-13, University of Madras. He supervised more than 50 students for PhD and Summer Training Programmes. He has held 5 Patents. He has published more than more than 80 National and International papers. He is a Life member of Society for Reproductive Biology and Comparative Endocrinology, Chennai ;Clinical Society Tata Main Hospital, Jamshedpur, and Indian Society for Study in Reproduction and Fertility, Mumbai. He is an Executive committee member of Society for Reproductive Biology and Comparative Endocrinology. He has also Developed single analyte ELISA kits.

This talk will focus on development of conjugation chemistry for production of conjugated molecules. It will specifically describe coupling of hapten to protein through homo-bi-functional spacer via hydrazone and diimide bond. Further, it will discuss the importance of  the Incorporation of Labile Bond (hydrazone) in ADC along with the strategy that may be adopted for generation of ADC.
