Suman Kundu's Biography

Suman Kundu, Professor, University of Delhi

Dr. Suman Kundu is currently Professor at Department of Biochemistry, University of Delhi South Campus. He completed Ph.D in Molecular Biology and Biophysics from BHU, 2000 and Indo-US Research Fellow in 2010.Dr Kundu held positions of Associate Professor in University of Delhi and Lecturer in School of Biotechnology, BHU. He also worked for Pioneer Hi-Bred International, Inc. – Dupont, USA. He was a post-doctorate at Iowa State University, USA. His research interests include Structure-Function Relationship in Hemoglobins; Hemoglobinopathies and Artificial Blood Substitutes; Structure based rational drug design against cardiovascular diseases and cancer; Protein Engineering and Proteomics. His teaching assignment includes Proteins – Structure, Folding and Engineering; Enzymes and Techniques in Biochemistry and Biophysics. Dr Kundu has authored 58 research publications, 2 book chapters and 1 patent. He is also Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Proteins and Proteomics.
