Dr. S. J. Patil completed his basic medical education from M R Medical College, Gulbarga (1990-1995) and postgraduation MD (PAED) from the same institute (1997-2000). He did DM (Medical Genetics) from SGPGIMS Lucknow. Presently he is working as consultant in clinical genetics at Narayana Hrudayalaya Bangalore, from 2006 to till date. His special interests are genetics of congenital heart disease, fetal medicine and neurogenetics. He has various national/international publications in peer reviewed journals.
